The lively Cannaregio district is known for the Jewish ghetto of 1516 but in Venice, as a great center of trades between east and west, the Jews arrived, according to tradition, towards the beginning of the eleventh century and, little by little, despite the alternation of permits and prohibitions to stay in the city, the Jewish community became a considerable nucleus in Venice. Come with me to discover all its history!

A walk in one of the oldest and richest places in history of the Venetian city through the Holocaust Memorial and several Synagogues to discover the vivid traces of Venetian Jewish culture. We will visit The Ghetto, the oldest and best preserved since 1516. Walking through its streets and crossing its bridges, you will realize that this place still holds an active center of life and is still the reference point for the Jewish community in the Cannaregio district. Museum, ancient synagogues and buildings full of history and tradition and, finally, we will enter a kosher bakery to understand the multicultural aspect of the city tasting a typical Jewish sweet.
